Summer flowers funds still needed

The contractor for the Summer Flowers project for this year has now been paid, according to Kilcullen Community Action, but funds are still needed to defray the costs.

The most recent meeting of KCA heard that contributions had been received from a number of businesses, and through donations from the public, but there was still a shortfall which needs to be made up.

Meanwhile, the donation boxes located in a number of shops and other business premises around town will soon be used to fundraise for the Christmas Lights programme. The wording and pictures on the boxes will be changed to indicate this.
