Kilcullen Grid Link meeting in October

The dedicated Kilcullen meeting on EirGrid's Grid Link Project will now take place in October, writes Brian Byrne.

The meeting was promised after representations from Kilcullen Community Action following the close of the first round of public consultations on the project, which will provide a 400kV power line from Great Island in Cork to Leinster, terminating at Dunstown near Carnalway.

The Kilcullen meeting will be held at a date yet to be finalised, probably in the Heritage Centre/Town Hall.

This will be in addition to the Consultation 2 round of public meetings which began last week on the Constraints Report resulting from the first round. The Naas area one of those will be held in Kilashee Hotel next Friday night.
