Water taking raised at meeting

The possibility that water is being taken from the mains in Kilcullen without authorisation was raised at a recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action, writes Brian Byrne.

Ray Kelly reported an incident at Nicholastown where a water tanker vehicle was parked beside a mains access point for some time, with its operators doing something outside the tanker.

"They had high-viz jackets and looked official, but it just didn't seem right," he said. He added that a query to Kildare County Council got the reply that 'no work was authorised' in the area at the time.
