Kenny and Armelle extend catering reach
After dipping their toes in the waters of outside catering at a recent major tweet-up of small business operators in the Carlow/Wexford area, popular local foodies Kenny Rorie and Armelle Siomboing have now fully launched a comprehensive outside catering business, writes Brian Byrne.
The operation is under the banner of Kenny's Kitchen, and full details—including sample menus in a price range from €10-€80 per head—are available on Kenny's new website (kennyskitchen.ie).
The enterprise will cater for any size of party, and can offer a range of options from simple delivery of finger food to a small event, through corporate catering, all the way up to full silver service, where they will take over the customer's own kitchen and supply meals, crockery and cutlery, and anything else required.
Locals with a sweet tooth are already very familiar with Armelle's Kitchen on Main Street, where she offers a mouth-watering variety of cakes, pastries and other tasties in the traditional style of her France homeland.
Kenny is originally from Scotland and is an accomplished baker amongst his other culinary skills. He is also an excellent photographer, and both his and Armelle's websites are well worth visits to see his pictures of their products alone.
Both are committed to supporting other local enterprises, and use locally-produced ingredients extensively.
Always great to see small business continue to stretch its reach, showing that positive spirit can indeed counter the doomsaying of recession.
