Charity race postponed

The Diageo Punchestown Charity Race inaugurated in aid of kidney research by local businessman James Nolan is one of the casualties of this week’s bad weather.

Announcing with deep regret that the race has to be postponed for safety reasons, James said he hopes it will be rescheduled shortly to another date.

The race has raised some €1.2m over the years, and is always oversubrscribed by amateur riders wishing to take part.
