Daffodil Day tomorrow
Tomorrow, Friday 23 March, is the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day, and Kilcullen's participation in the fundraiser is now 25 years old.
Nuala Collins and Anne Brennan will be organising the local collection tomorrow, hoping to add substantially to the €68,000 already donated by local people over that quarter of a century.
The local best year was 2008 when the collection on the day achieved €6,358.
The Kilcullen contribution goes to help the St Brigid's Hospice on The Curragh.
The ICS's night-nurses will continue to provide loving care and support to families trhoughout Ireland, free of charge, so it's a really important cause.
The organisers say a big 'thank you' to all supporters and collectors in Kilcullen. Please give what you can again this time.
