Talk on adolescents and alcohol tonight
The vexed topic of alcohol use by adolescents is the subject of a talk tonight, Wednesday November 16, in CPC.
Alcohol Use: Encouraging a Healthy Response will be given by Dr Mark Morgan, Professor of Education and Psychology at St Patrick’s College, and acting co-director of Growing up in Ireland at Trinity College. The event begins at 7.30pm
Mark Morgan is highly regarded both at home and abroad and has been involved in many aspects of educational research. Currently he is working on a project to support the implementation of the ‘Incredible Years’ programme in Ballymun.
In 2010, he was awarded the President’s Prize for research by Dublin City University.
"It is great opportunity to listen to Mark and no doubt benefit from his insight and understanding," says CPC Assistant Principal Noel Clare. "This promises to be a most informative talk for all parents and all are welcome, even if you do not have children currently attending the school."
