Plea to vandals

The Naomh Bhride Community Playgroup has called on those who vandalised their premises last month to use their time to promote the quest for a new Community Childcare & Family Centre.

"Please find something better to do with your time," playgroup Leader Eilis Keogh appeals in the current issue of The Bridge, describing such 'wanton behaviour' as 'heartbreaking to experience'.

Describing the perpetrators as 'roaming the town' and causing damage to community property at all hours of the night, Eilis suggests that they 'do something productive'. "We are looking for volunteers to help with our campaign ... so rather than taking your boot to our doors, why not use your time to promote what we are trying to achieve for your community?"

The playgroup Leader also commended local people who helped repair the damage.
