Yellow Bog Harvest Festival Service

A Harvest Festival Service next Sunday in Yellow Bog Church will feature as speaker Niall O'Rourke, Emergencies Officer with Christian Aid, writes Brian Byrne.

Mr O'Rourke has just returned from East Africa and will give details of the situation in the region.

A recent collection made in the Church of Ireland Union parishes of Kilcullen and Newbridge for famine relief in East Africa raised more than €3,000 and was given to Christian Aid.

"There was tremendous support from right across the community," says Trudy Jeffers, "and we're very grateful to everybody who helped."

The Harvest Festival Service is at 10am Sunday, September 11. All are welcome.
