Great response to flowers collection

More than €1,100 was collected on Saturday's street collection towards funding the annual flowers programme operated by Kilcullen Community Action.

This year's flowers are now all in place, including windowboxes and pavement flower tubs, already providing a summer look to Kilcullen.

The programme was inaugurated in 2007 by local businessman Brian Fallon, and is supported by local fundraising efforts, donations from individuals and businesses, and a grant from Kildare County Council.
