Pilgrimage plane diverted

A plane carrying pilgrims from Dublin to Lourdes, which included a number of Kilcullen people, had to divert to Nantes yesterday because a passenger became ill.

The incident meant the two-hour flight extended to five hours before the party arrived in Lourdes airport at 7.30pm Irish time.

The group from Kilcullen included residents from the Curragh Lawns Nursing Home, and helpers.
