WEATHER

Windy today with a mix of sunny spells and blustery heavy showers. Winds increasing strong to near gale force westerly, moderating and turning more northwest in the evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.

DID YOU KNOW?

Desert sand dunes are known to 'sing', in some cases making sounds as loud as those heard in a concert hall. It's believed the sounds are produced when air pushes through millions of sand grains as they tumble into new positions during certain weather conditions.
