New community signage promised

Kildare County Council has given a commitment to improve the road signage in the south of the county to better identify local communities.

This follows a motion by Cllr Martin Miley at the Athy Area Meeting in July, who was told that much of the work will be carried out over the next 18 months.

"This signage is vital from a tourism aspect for people to move around our community," Cllr Miley says.
