Pastoral Council elections
Parishioners have been invited to submit nominations for six places on the Parish Pastoral Council.
The current council was appointed for a three-year term in November 2005, and is now to be replaced.
There are 14 members, 12 lay people and two priests. Six of the lay people are elected by nomination and voting (if more than six are nominated) and the others selected selected to ensure a good balance of age, gender and area representation.
Any parishioner who is eighteen years of age or more is eligible for nomination and election, and that includes any existing member of the pastoral council. Parishioners can nominate themselves.
The latest date for nominations is Sunday 2 November, and nomination forms are available in Kilcullen and Gormanstown churches.
