Square to be pedestrianised
Kildare County Council has agreed to refurbish the market square as a pedestrian area, with new stepped access to the river bank.
The Diary understands that the cost of the work will be recouped from levies which have been paid by developers for their projects in the town.
The 14 car parking spaces which will disappear with the pedestrianisation will have been more than replaced by the 80+ public parking spaces provided by the Market Square development.
