High fives for JJ's high lights

Congratulations were expressed to JJ Warren on the organisation of the Christmas lights, at the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action.

However, JJ said they should have been better, that some 50 percent of the lights system from 2006 had to be repaired.

"As it turned out, if we had spent what that time cost on buying new LEDs we would have had twice as many lights," he said. "But now all the hangers are in place for next Christmas, and we should source some new profiles to do even better in 2008."

The meeting heard that the total cost of the lights for Christmas 2007 was in the region of 5,000 euros, of which 4,000 euros represented labour costs.
