The Passing of Ted Schwer

The Diary notes with regret the passing of Ted Schwer, of Luton, England and formerly of Mile Mill.

Ted was aged 67, and moved to Luton when the family pub in Mile Mill (now Markey’s Stray Inn) was sold.

He is survived by his wife Vera, daughter Lisa, his brother Billy and his sisters Ethna (Ballymore) and Kathleen (Ballyhaunis).

He asked that his ashes be buried in New Abbey Cemetery, which will be done at a date yet to be decided.
