WEATHER

A cloudy and humid day with patchy rain and drizzle. Drier and brighter conditions will develop this evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in light to moderate southwest to west winds.

It's estimated that some 15,000 tonnes of space debris enters the Earth's atmosphere every day, as part of around 25 million meteoroids, micrometeoroids, and defunct human-made objects. Up to 95 percent are believed to burn up as meteors before reaching the surface, those which do impact being known as meteorites.
