Like our new banner?

As regulars may have noted, we've changed the banner from the image of the bridge which has been our masthead since close to the beginning of the Diary's existence.

We host our pictures on flickr.com, and one of the facilities available there is a system which lets us set up random links to selected photographs. So every time you load a page, you get a new set from that selection, which is based on people in the stories we've published in the past.

If you see one that interests you, you can click on it and it brings you to the originally hosted picture. You'll usually also have more pictures from the same event available beside it. And in many cases there will also be a link back to the original Diary story which the picture relates to.
