Any more 'Cotton Mills Boys'?

The recent pieces and photographs submitted by Mario Colombo, a former manager in Naas Cotton Mills, did indeed strike a chord of memory in Kilcullen.

Our own Jim Collins has reminded the Diary that he was one of the 'Cotton Mills Boys' in the early and mid-60s, and remembers Mario well.

In addition, it seems that Naas Local History Group is very excited about the photographs. We presume they have been in touch directly with Mario, who -- along with friends from other parts of Italy -- has now joined the band of regular readers of A Kilcullen Diary.
