Paddy directs 'Stella'
Newbridge Drama group present Stella by Starlight by Bernard Farrell, on a run between April 5-8.
The 'heavenly comedy' will be performed in the Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge.
The play is directed by by former Kilcullen Drama Group stalwart Paddy Melia. Set design is by Tommy Berwick.
The story is about Dermot and his wife Stella who move from Dublin to the peace and quiet of the Wicklow hills, with hilarious consequences- including the breakdown of the entire water and heating systems-just as their daughter Tara is about to go to the debs.
She is being collected by a young trendy garage engineer known as “Needles” who comes to pick her up in a hearse ... because he couldn’t get a car.
There's much more, all hilarious. Go see.
Sinead Redmond.
