'Funny Girls' for Riverbank

An upcoming comedy event at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge is designed to leave you rib-sore from laughter.

'Funny Girls' is on June 23 at 8pm, and stars Anne Gildea, Susan Collins and Pom Boyd, the team behind 'The Three Nualas'.

"Three hilarious ladies in six hilarious acts for one hilarious night — this show is in one word: Hilarious!" goes the advance blurb. "These girls will pick you up by the funny bone, bang you off the four walls of the Riverbank Arts Centre leaving you comedy senseless and gagging for more."

The Irish Times described them as 'the funniest women in the world', while the Irish Independent described the act as 'part hard-bitten Dub, part-bohemian, one of the funniest comedy creations of recent years'.
