€200,000 for playground

Nearly €200,000 is available in grant money to build a playground in Kilcullen, last night's meeting of KCA was told.



An area of 'dead land' belonging to Scoil Bhride (above and below) has been identified as suitable, and there was some discussion over the possibility of it being made available in a 'swap' with some adjoining land (bottom picture).





The meeting heard that an independent committee for the playground project is being formed, following a public meeting on the issue scheduled for tonight (Tuesday).
