History Federation seminar

The 6th Annual Seminar of the County Kildare Federation of Local History Groups will take place on Saturday 9th April in Kilcullen Heritage Centre commencing at 10.15am.

The event will also incorporate the AGM of the Federation.

The opening addresses will be given by Federation Chairman Ger McCarthy and Mario Corrigan of the Local History Studies department in the County Library, Newbridge.

A talk on Celbridge in the 19th Century will be given by Maura Gallagher, Celbridge Local History Society, and Nessa Dunlea of Kilcullen Local History Group will give a presentation on Memories of Castlemartin.

The usefulness of Internet Resources for Local Historians will be detailed by Adrian Mullowney, Cill Dara Historical Society, and after lunch there will be an opportunity for the various groups to talk about their activities.
