KCA ready for incorporation
Kilcullen Community Action has finalised the details for forming itself into a limited company.
The organisation has paid Muintir na Tire a fee to complete the process, but the new company will not take KCA down 'the Community Council route', a recent meeting heard. When Kilcullen Community Council existed, delegates were elected from local areas and clubs and organisations.
The rules of the new company have been debated in meetings of KCA but have not been published in advance of the completion of registration. The meetings of KCA are open to the public.
It is understood that among the rules are restrictions on voting, and that anyone wishing to vote on a proposal during a meeting must have attended a set minimum of previous meetings.
The process of forming a company has taken KCA several years of discussion.
