Daryl's Simply Devine Cafe opens

Well, Kilcullen now has a new eating out option with the opening today of Simply Devine Cafe, by chef Daryl Devine, writes Brian Byrne.

The Diary just had a quick visit and we'll get to talk to Daryl during the week for the full story, but a number of local people were already sampling the lunch as we left.

The decor is bright, unusual, and makes really nice spaces whether one is in for coffee, breakfast, lunch or later.

Daryl plans to be open every day, so it should be easy enough for lots of us to develop a daily Devine habit.

Breakfast options run from simple tea and toast at €3.95 to a full Irish at €9.95, with lots of options in between.

Lunch is from Chef's Soup of the Day for €4.95 to Sirloin Steak Sandwich at €13.95 and again, lots of choice of food and prices between those.

There are Mains for later ranging from Fish & Chips at €12.95 through a variety of pasta, chicken, steak and burger dishes, and a daily selection of fresh-made desserts.

This is goin' to be good, folks, and we wish Daryl and his team every success.
