Bridge work to be finished quickly

The refurbishment work on the bridge will be completed by the end of November, according to KCA chairman Kieran Forde.

He was reporting at the last meeting on a further meeting which he had with the town engineer and the architects.

The work is being financed by money from the Department of the Environment which was earmarked specifically for the bridge.

It will include replacing the existing pavements with cobble-lock, cleaning the stonework, landscaping and capping the railings with brass.
