Carnalway protest 'may need funds'
Supporters of the campaign to have a riverside right of way reopened at Carnalway Bridge have been told that they may have to financially support any action that needs to be taken.
At last week's protest meeting at the site of the recent closure of the traditional facility, Pastor Robert Dunlop said that if funds were needed, they would be approached.
"We have people who will undertake fundraising if we need it," the chairman of the Brannockstown Community Committee said.
There's growing feeling that the local people may have to go the legal route to have access reopened, as talks with the landowner concerned have not managed a satisfactory outcome to the row.
