Intruders disturbed by gardai

The garda helcopter unit was called in early today following what's believed to have been an attempted robbery at Jackman's Gala store on Hillside.

A number of intruders were disturbed when a garda car arrived, shortly before 6am. They ran away without getting in, and a car stolen some days ago from outside the area was recovered.

Despite a search using the helicopter, nobody was arrested.
