The passing of Jean McGrane

The death has occurred of Jean McGrane, Monkstown, Co Dublin and formerly of Grangebeg House, Dunlavin, on 12 December 2025, peacefully at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, in the company of her loving family.

Partner of Michael (Mick) Boyle, loving mother of Aran and Ava and daughter of Áine and Breffne, Jean will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Saoirse, Ava's partner Arthur, all her family, sisters Tanya, Nicky, Lisa and Paula, brother John, Michael’s children Niamh, Eoin and David, Aran and Ava's father Darragh,her brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and her wide circle of friends.

Jean will be reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Monkstown on Sunday afternoon (14th December) from 4-6pm. Her funeral Mass will take place on Monday (15th December) at 11am in the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen, followed by cremation at Newlands Cross. As per Jean’s wishes, we encourage everyone to wear bright colours to celebrate her vibrant life. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.
