The passing of Giselle Mentos

The Diary has learned of the death of Giselle Mentos, formerly of Kilcullen, Co Kildare and Portarlington Co Laois, on 8 November 2025, peacefully, in the company of her loving sister Denise and best friends Aisling and Catherine, in the kind care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. 

Predeceased by her loving parents, Margaret and Peppe Suris Mentos, and her nephew, Anthony Jordan, Giselle will be forever loved and sadly missed by her sister, her best friends, her brother-in-law, Leo, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and all who knew and loved her from around the world.

She will be reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, (Eircode W91 CDOK) on Monday, 10 November, from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Her funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, 11 November at 11.30am in Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen (R56 R271), followed by burial in St Brigid’s Cemetery, Kilcullen.
