The passing of Richard Higgins

The Diary has learned of the death of Richard (Dickie) Higgins, Kilcullen and formerly of Naas, on 25 October 2025, peacefully in the company of his loving family, at Mountpleasant Lodge Nursing Home, Kilcock.

Beloved father of Kathleen, Patrick, Mary, Robert and James, pre-deceased by Carina and Margaret (Peggy), Dickie is sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, brothers John, Joe, Kevin and Tony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, especially Catherine.

He will be reposing on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm, with prayers at 6:30pm, at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas, W91 VY71. Removal will be on Wednesday to the Church of Our Lady and St David, Naas, arriving for the 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.
