The passing of Pauline Comerford

The Diary has learned of the death of Pauline Comerford (née Campion), of Bushfield, Borris-in-Ossory, Co Laois, and late of Creeslough, County Donegal and Kilcullen, County Kildare, peacefully on 14 September 2025, in the company of her loving family, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael and brothers Michael and Jack, Pauline is sadly missed by her loving son John, daughters Geraldine (Breen), Breda (Delaney) and Mary (Langan), daughter-in-law Imelda, sons-in-law Ger, Mick and Mark, grandchildren Brian, Sinéad, Shane, Aisling, and Márie Comerford, Caroline, Louise and Hannah Breen, Noel, Colm and Killian Delaney, Michael and Clodagh Langan, her eight great-grandchildren, sister Anne (Nan) Hogan, brother Jimmy Campion and his wife Mary, sister-in-law Mary Comerford, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

She will be reposing at her son John Comerford's residence, Bushfield, Borris-in-Ossory, R32 X229, today, Monday, 15 September, from 12 noon to 8pm, with Rosary at 8pm.

Her funeral Mass on Tuesday, 16 September at 12 noon in St Kieran's Church, Knockaroo, R32 F886, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery. House Private on Tuesday morning, please.
