The passing of Joyce Ryan

The Diary has learned of the death of Joyce Ryan, Laurelwood, Kilcullen, and late of Chapel Lane, Newbridge, on 23 February 2025, peacefully at the Beacon hospital.

Beloved wife of Derek O'Neill, much loved mother of Alex, Joyce was predeceased by her father Paddy, and is sadly missed by her loving husband and son, her mother Deirdre, sisters Aileen, Fiona and Deirdre, brothers Padraig, Carl and Ronan, brothers and sisters in law, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

She will be reposing in Anderson & Leahy’s Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge, on Tuesday from 4pm with prayers at 6pm. Removal will be at 6.30pm (driving to the church) on Tuesday to arrive at the Dominican College Church for 7pm. The Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am will be livestreamed on this link. Burial afterwards to St Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.
