The passing of Sr Joan Smith

The Diary has learned of the death of Sr Joan Smith CP, of Marino, Dublin and formerly of Cross and Passion College, Kilcullen.

Sr Joan passed away peacefully on 26 September 2024. Predeceased by her brother Joe, her passing is deeply regretted by her brother Charles, sister Marie, brother-in-law Frank, sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Dilys, niece, nephews, relatives and friends, and the Sisters of the Cross and Passion worldwide.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Joan’s life will take place in the Church of St Vincent de Paul, Griffith Ave, Marino on Monday 30 September at 11.30am, followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed on this link.
