Kildare's Covid-19 Notebook Project

A project to record Kildare people's experiences during the Covid-19 situation has been set up by the Kildare Library and Arts Service, writes Brian Byrne.

The concept is to have people of all ages, though especially those who have been cocooning, write down their thoughts and ideas during the pandemic period.

The Library service will provide an A5 Moleskine notebook to anyone who wants to take part. In return, the Library asks that the book, or some of it, be shared with KLAS for their digital archive.

The notebook can be written in any form the holder wishes, whether as a diary, notes, recipes, gardening tips. Any thoughts are applicable to the project.

Project coordinator Lucina Russell emphasises that any personal thoughts which the writer might prefer to keep private will not be shared through the archive.

If you want to take part, contact lrussell@kildarecoco.ie, phone 045 448318, and a notebook will be sent.
