The passing of Michael Lambe of Lumville

There will be many in Kilcullen who will be saddened at news of the death of Michael Lambe, formerly of Lumville House on The Curragh.

The bar, restaurant and functions room was the venue for events for many Kilcullen community and sports organisations as well as family events for people in this area.

With his late wife Nuala, who died in 2014, they operated a very personal business for more than four decades, focusing strongly on the people side of their enterprise. On his retirement from the business in 2016, Michael described the generations of families they had served as friends more than customers.

Michael passed away at Portlaoise Hospital in the presence of his loving family. He is sadly missed by his loving daughters Lisa and Annique, sons Eoin and Ciaran, brother Vincent, grandchildren Adam, Naima, Evan, Eileen, Eddie and April, sisters-in-law Teresa, Betty and Eileen, sons-in-law Adrian and Serdar, daughter-in-law, Yvonne, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives & friends.

He will be reposing at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Newbridge on Thursday from 4 o'clock with Rosary at 8 o'clock. Removal on Friday morning at 9.30 o'clock to arrive at Cill Mhuire, Ballymany for Mass at 10 o'clock. Funeral afterwards to St Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

May he rest in peace.
