The passing of Phil O'Donnell
The Diary has learned of the death of Philomena (Phil) O'Donnell, of Calverstown and late of Graiguecullen County Carlow.
Phil died on December 7th 2018 peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St James Hospital, Dublin. She was predeceased by her loving husband Patrick O'Donnell, Cloughmore, Achill Island, Co Mayo.
She will be sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews-in-law, grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours around Calverstown and Kilcullen where she was an active member of the church choir for many years.
Phil will be reposing at her residence from 3pm until 8pm on Sunday with prayers at 8pm. Removal will take place from there by PJ Willis Funeral Directors on Monday morning to the Church of The Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen, arriving for 11am Funeral Mass.
Burial will take place afterwards in St Bridget’s Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. Donations if desired may be made to the Irish Cancer Society, for which purpose there will be a donation box in the church.
