Want to work in a special place?

We’re offering a job with a difference – a job that requires commitment and will challenge, but which will also provide satisfaction to the right person, writes Ben Gamble of The Bridge Community. It is also a fun job if you’re a fun person.

An Tearmann is a bright and busy coffee shop and bakery attached to The Bridge Camphill Community in Kilcullen, in many respects the heart of Kilcullen. The café is part of a community with people with special needs, who are involved in the work & running of this special venture and an integral part of it. It is a direct interface between customers and several members of our community with people with special needs.

We are looking for:
1 person to support our morning Bakery Workshop;
1 person to support our afternoon Cooking Workshop.

We require people with relevant experience to help support the busy workshops which supports the coffee shop. If you have a passion for service and food production, love working with people with special needs, and thrive on working in a job that requires many different skills – this might be for you!

We’d like candidates with experience in catering and service to the public. An ability to understand people with special needs and to motivate and support them in a work environment is essential.

If you want to be part of a friendly and committed team, have baking or cooking talents, are flexible and adaptable, then let’s hear from you! The production kitchen for An Tearmann could be your place. Naturally, you’ll be positive, organised, reliable and self-motivated.
