Heritage grants now available
Applications are now being accepted for funds under the Kildare County Council Heritage Grant Scheme, writes Brian Byrne.
Eligible projects and activities include gathering heritage data, heritage management, and raising awareness of heritage. Heritage publications are specifically not funded under the scheme.
Heritage projects must fall under the following items included as heritage in the Heritage Act, 1995: monuments; archaeological objects; heritage objects, documents and genealogical records; architectural heritage; flora and fauna; wildlife habitats; landscapes and seascapes; wrecks; geology; heritage gardens; and parks and inland waterways.

The closing date for completed applications is 5pm on Tuesday 13 March 2018.
