Council asked to deal with Pinkeen rats
Kildare County Council has been asked to deal with what is described as a 'really bad' rats problem in Pinkeen Stream, writes Brian Byrne.
The matter was raised at a recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action, where it was agreed that the Council would be informed quickly about the problem.
The stream, which is one of the listed tributaries of the Liffey, was cleaned and dredged last year in combined work by Kilcullen Tidy Towns, Kildare County Council, and local environmental specialist Dr Jan Baars.
There have issues with rats infestation in recent years, and in 2015 and 2017.
