Elvis for The Hideout this weekend

Elvis will be rocking at The Hideout on Saturday night, in the person of 'King' impersonator Greg Traynor, from 10pm.

Edenderry native Greg has been singing the Presley evergreens for more than 15 years, and has also written a musical 'One Sweet Hour', a story about an ageing Elvis impersonator which has been produced in a number of venues since its premiere last summer in the Tullamore Court Hotel. It was directed by Eugene O’Brien, author of ‘Eden’, ‘Pure Mule’, and more recently, ‘The Flag’.

Greg has been involved in the arts for many years, playing such parts as Danny in ‘Grease’, Judas in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, Jesus in ‘Godspell’, Henry Higgins in ‘My Fair Lady’ and Will in ‘Oklahoma’. He has also appeared in many TV commercials, most recently one for Avonmore.

He has also played with The John Hogan Band and The Showband Show.

So Saturday in The Hideout promises be much more than just a few Elvis songs ... dig out those blue suede shoes.
