GAA lights now officially on
The floodlighting system installed some time ago at Kilcullen GAA were officially switched on yesterday by Deputy Martin Heydon.
The lights were part-funded from allocation of €100,000 in a round of the Sports Capital Grants.
The Kildare South FG deputy congratulated the 'very ambitious' committee led by Club Chairman Des O'Brien and Vice Chair Martin Murphy.
The lights were officially launched for the challenge match between Kildare Seniors and Westmeath, which the Kildare side won comfortably 1-19 to 1-11.
