Semi final and final stages for Kilcullen Badminton teams

Kilcullen's Division 6 Mens team got their Dublin Cup off to a good start with a 3-0 win away to ESB and will continue to the next round, writes Tara O'Neill.

Our Grade 5 Ladies had a great 3/1 win in the Southwest League against Carlow.

Kilcullen's Grade 3 (A) Men had a tight game away to Johnswell and game away with a respectful 2-2 draw. Later in the week they played Carlow YM and came away with another 2-2 draw giving them a good enough result to progress to the Southwest semi finals.

Our Grade 3/4 ladies had a good win against Mullingar bringing them straight through to the Southwest finals.

It was a nail biting weekend for our Grade 3 (B) Mens team as a last minute play off had to be fixtured between themselves and Ballinabranna who were equal on points. Kilcullen were very unfortunate to lose by a set thus ending their road in the Southwest competition.

Our Division 2 Ladies got their season off to a convincing start with a 4-0 win over Carlow YM.

Best of luck to our Grade 3/4 Ladies whose final of the Southwest competition will take place on Friday 24th of November and to our Grade 3 (A) Men who will play Kildare in the Southwest semi final this Tuesday 14 November.
