Christmas Market in Kilcullen this year
A Christmas Market will be held in Kilcullen on Saturday 9 December in the market square, writes Brian Byrne.
Organised by Antoinette Buckley, Lorna Brophy and Katrina O'Connell, the message from the day will be to Shop Local, Stay Local, Support Local this Christmas.
Planned to run from 11am until 6pm, the stalls so far booked will be selling Christmas trees, logs, and fresh flowers. There will also be breads, cakes, mince pies and organic vegetables.
Gifts, accessories and bookstore crafts will also be on sale, and there will be story-telling in the Heritage Centre through the day.
Local hot food producers will also have stalls, and there will be coffee, hot chocolate, face-painting, and a DJ.
Kilcullen Gospel Choir will end the day with an open-air performance from 5pm.
