Weekend events for ReUse Month
Public discussions on local sustainable actions to help deal with global climate change are being held across Kildare this weekend, writes Brian Byrne.
They are part of ReUse month and feature speakers from Shamrock Spring Deirdre Lane and Evonne Boland, as well as artist Martina Shannon and Kildare Yarnbomber Angela Lane.
They will offer advice on how to reduce household waste, reduce greenhouse gases, and reuse materials otherwise destined for landfill.
Today's event is in Newbridge Library from 10am-4pm; tomorrow's at Monasterevin Community Centre from 1pm-6pm; and on Sunday the group will be in Celbridge Community Centre from 10am-4pm.
The events are free and are being supported by Kildare County Council.
