Story telling evening sets the right mood
There is no Kilcullen venue more suited to an evening of story-telling than An Tearman after dark, writes Brian Byrne.
And for last night's inaugural session of the 'Triple Spiral Storytellers', organiser Tim Ditchburn along with Jo and the staff had just the right level of atmosphere set up with candles, soft lighting, and lots of tea and buns.
The group plans to meet monthly, and all are welcome to come and listen, and to tell their own stories.
Last night's guest story-teller was Fiona Dowling, who became entranced by the art of telling stories while a student at the Sorbonne in Paris.
It was a most pleasant, and quite different way of spending a winter's evening in Kilcullen.
