Lions Club presents cheques
Kilcullen Lions Club President Conor Williams recently presented a cheque for €2,500 to Catherine Moynihan, Principal of Cross & Passion College, writes Frances Clare.
The cheque represented the proceeds from the Annual Duck Race and will go towards the Accelerated Reading Programme in the school.
Also in the photo is Lions Club Secretary Teresa Nurse and Club Treasurer Eileen Doyle.
Conor also presented a cheque for €3,500 to Eileen McDonald, St Brigid's Hospice, the Curragh, from the funds raised at the recent M&S bag pack and the Static Cycle fundraiser in Whitewater Shopping Centre.
The money will be used to finish the garden at the newly refurbished Hospice.
