Tai Chi classes in Kilcullen
The new term for Yuki Kobayashi's Tai Chi classes is now under way in Kilcullen Parish Centre, on Wednesday mornings, writes Brian Byrne.
Yuki lives in Ballitore and teaches in Athy and Carlow as well as Kilcullen, where the classes are from 10am for beginners and improvers, and from 11.30am for people with arthritis, back pain, or other limiting conditions.
Tai Chi is based on a martial arts discipline, slowed down, and offers similar levels of exercise as does brisk walking. It also results in a range of health benefits, especially in recovery from injury.
The fee is €50 for six lessons, or €10 per class. More information from 086 3412006 or yukimoyleabbey@gmail.com.
