Surprise, surprise! for Maureen Barker

Maureen Barker, just recently retired from the Credit Union in Kilcullen, was given a surprise party in Kalbarri Cookery School last night, writes Brian Byrne.

Her friends and colleagues from down the years were all waiting when she arrived at the venue, expecting only to be attending a cookery demonstration.

Maureen became a volunteer teller in Kilcullen Credit Union very soon after it was formed in 1971. She became a full member of staff in 2004.
